One Year of Blogging

The ride so far…

It’s hard to believe, but it’s been one year since I wrote my first blog post.

In that year, I’ve written 40 posts– largely food-related–and have interacted with quite a few folks I’d have likely not met otherwise. I rented a domain to give this blog a proper home and even started a Facebook page to help make interaction easier and more streamlined, especially for those who want to follow the blog via that format.

The road ahead…

While I’m not exactly certain where this next year will take the blog, I do know I want to keep it up.  I want to write more about other happenings and have so many ideas in my head and it’s time they took to the page.  I’m also considering a site re-design so don’t alarmed if things start looking different when I actually have time to do that.  I’ve also toyed with the idea of cooking classes and/or even selling some of the things I make.  We’ll see.

Enough about me…

I’d be remiss if I didn’t say THANK YOU!  Thank you for reading, cheering me on and for your comments, posts and “likes”.  Without readers, a blog doesn’t serve much of a purpose outside of a diary.  To that end, I want to ask what YOU want to see on the blog in the coming year?  What do you NOT want to see?  Is there something you’ve always wanted to know about?  Share your suggestions and help me determine where to focus my efforts.

I’m glad you’re along for the ride.  Let’s roll!

Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary! I always check out your blog to see what fun, new and interesting things you are making. I’ve even tried to make some of the stuff on your blog, but I’m sure it doesn’t taste as good as yours! If you ever make vegetarian stuff, I would love for you to post it here so I can try to copy 🙂

Thanks, Rupal! And as for vegetarian stuff, there’s a lot on here. In fact, that’s one of the biggest tags in my cloud :o) You are welcome to copy as much as you like–and if you find recipes you love, feel free to post them! I want this to be about sharing so feel free to post things you find and/or make!

Thanks, Rachel! Sorry I’m so behind on responses. I’m glad to have a like-minded local blogger like you as supporter.

Hi Scott! I’ve nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award! You don’t have to follow through with anything – personally, I’m only nominating one blog per award, because it becomes too time consuming. I’m always honored by awards, however, and I’m pleased to nominate your blog. Consider me a huge fan and I can’t wait to see your new family!

Thank you so much, Mimi! That’s quite an honor. I’m humbled just reading all the other blogs shown in that post. I appreciate your kind words, your encouragement and support. As I mentioned, we’re heading down a long and likely challenging road, but it’s easier knowing what support we have. Thanks again!
